What is Getting Healthy the Vermont Way about?
Simply put, getting healthy the Vermont Way is a common sense approach to staying out of the doctor’s office, by showing you how to keep yourself naturally healthy in everyday ways. Essentially, it’s about creating your own supplemental health insurance plan.
You see, traditional doctor’s offices and health insurance plans don’t teach you how to be healthy. They don’t have the time or resources to do so. They’re set up to patch you up the best they can and send you on your way.
My approach is designed to educate you about the options you do have, so that you can start making healthier choices, much more easily, and with out a lot of fuss and fancy diet plans.
Now, being healthy and energized starts with an understanding of how food actually provides nutrition, how your body reacts to imbalance and what to do about it. Another aspect to consider is how we lead our lifestyles – it’s all food and nourishment.
OK, so what exactly do you need to do to get healthy the Vermont Way? - Try Something New
Before you can make a healthy change that lasts, you first have to be willing to stop doing what doesn’t work and start doing something different. An open mind, willingness to keep learning and general curiosity goes a long way.
- Get Hydrated
Gain energy, rebalance your body and feel better by drinking more healthy liquids like water.
- Eat Real Food
When you eat less chemicalized, artificially sweetened, highly processed foods and eat more fresh, natural and wholesome foods, you take control of your health, energy and state-of-mind.
- Rebound - All Year Round
While there are endless ways to get your body moving, using the Rebounder is hands-down one of the easiest and most effective to get yourself consistently moving and turning back the clock.
- Train Your Thoughts
I’ll show you how to focus your thoughts on what you want versus what you don’t want and how this affects the results of your self-care program.
- Clean Up Your Energy
Dramatically accelerate the process of getting healthy and address chronic health concerns in just a few sessions by clearing out your internal blocks at the cellular level. It's easy and it works.

My style of counseling…
I'm down-to-earth and especially good at sharing information in a way that anyone can understand. I'm quick to laugh with you, but I'm also gently direct and like to make sure my clients get what they need out of each session. So while I can make the process relaxing, enjoyable and interesting, I make sure we "get to work" and keep a focus on creating results.
I expect my clients to honor their word, be on time and follow-through. I have plenty of "tools" up my sleeve to help you and so I'll be asking you to trust the process of our work together.
What happens in our sessions?
You show up for your in-person or telephone session, and after we review what’s going on for you, I make a suggestion based on my experience as to whether you need a nutrition or energy clearing session.
In either case, you always leave with simple, step-by-step tools and information to integrate into your life. (Including instruction on how to do so!)
What “tools” do I use?
Here’s a brief overview of my Vermont Healthy Living “tool belt.”
Nutrition Counseling - We review what you’re eating now, what goals you have and I give you simple, practical recommendations that you agree can be implemented before our next scheduled session. Each nutrition counseling session builds on the next.
Nutritional Blood Analysis – This powerful visual gives you insight into the quality of your blood. Nutrients are carried through your blood stream and feed your body, organs and brain. Clients find this a powerful motivational tool to improve their nutrition, which improves the quality of their blood and thus the quality of their thinking, energy and more.
Food & Supplement Samples – When appropriate, I give you food samples of some of the delicious health foods I introduce you too. This guarantees quick compliance.
Health Food Store Tours – Much like a personal trainer who shows you around a gym and how to use the machines, this is my version of showing you around the “nutrition gym.” We meet at a local health food store in lieu of a counseling session and I show you the “ropes.” Local clients only.
Recommended Resources – Save money, time and energy when trying new services, products and more. Part of what you get from me is that I’ve done the research and cut out the superfluous and condensed it all into a solid stream of knowledge and experience.
Personal Coaching – Getting healthy is more than eating the right foods and exercising. We all have thought patterns, beliefs and ways of being that sabotage our best intentions. I’m skilled in guiding you through great conversations that lead to breakthroughs.
Energy Clearing – “An integral part of my programs, technically called “Energy Mirroring (EM),” is a simple, yet dramatically effective hands-off technique similar in style to guided relaxation.
